What are the entry requirements?
Entry requirements are different for each programme are detailed on each job description. Please check the relevant programme you are looking to apply for.
What happens if I don’t meet the entry criteria but do have work experience?
We require all applicants to meet the minimum entry requirements in order to apply. We cannot use work experience as an alternative of the relevant qualification.
Where will I be based?
It all depends on your programme.
Do you accept applications from people with disabilities?
Absolutely. Our recruitment process has been designed to ensure that all candidates are treated fairly and reasonable adjustments can be made at each stage of the process.

What will the online application involve?

Following the video interview, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment centre.

Can I apply to more than one role or more than once per year?
It is not possible to apply for more than one role within a year, please apply for the programme most suited to you. But don’t worry, if you’re not successful, you can apply again the following year – either for the same or a different role.

When do I start?
Our Degree Apprenticeship programmes start every year in early September. Before you begin you get the opportunity to attend an induction with the whole intake. This is a great opportunity to get to know everybody and find out more about the support and development you’ll get on the programme.
Can I change programme once I have started?

What support will I have?
You’ll have lots of support. As well as your placement manager, you’ll have a business mentor, the Degree Apprentice community and the People team.
What training and development do I get?
Once you join us, no matter what role you are in, you’ll be given access to a wealth of learning. Whether that’s specific training for your role or tools to help you to take control of your self-development, you’ll have the resources to enhance your skills and confidence. Plus, with lots of different career pathways across the company to consider, there are lots of opportunities to grow and progress within your career with us.
How will my performance be measured?
As part of the apprenticeship, you will engage in ongoing reviews. These will be conducted by the degree apprentice tutor – part of the education providers support team – and will include input from your line manager and mentor. All degree modules are assessed, and each assessment must be passed to complete both the degree and the apprenticeship successfully. As an employee, you will also engage in an annual appraisal of your performance.
Who will my education provider be / can I choose which education provider I attend during my apprenticeship?
Our apprenticeship programmes are developed in collaboration with an education provider which is chosen by us meaning there is no need for you to choose an education provider.
What will my study timetable look like and what is the blend between face-to-face and remote learning?
As an apprentice, you will be a full-time employee, splitting your time between the workplace and your education provider or attending virtual workshops. A minimum of 20% of your week will be spent studying, either at your education provider or independently. Your study timetable will differ depending on the role that you opt for.
What support is available to help with relocation? Am I required to relocate?
Unfortunately, there is no relocation assistance. There will be a requirement for you to travel to your site and, where relevant, education provider regularly and when requested, therefore consideration to your living arrangements should be given.
Are your roles office based, remote or hybrid?
We offer flexibility and varied working options across some of our roles, including hybrid working where applicable. This could mean a few days per week in the office, but this depends on the specific role.
Will I have the opportunity to network with other degree apprentices/grads?
There’s are lots of opportunities to meet other people as part of our programmes.

What happens at the end of the programme I am on?
You’ll be employed with us permanently and your career journey continues!
What diversity and inclusion and green networks are available?
There are lots of networks for you to join including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and green champions.
I have a disability and may need adjustments to be able to work (either to the work premises or working pattern), would this be possible?
We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, and wherever possible will make reasonable adjustments to help support candidates into work. Such adjustments would need to be discussed with us at interview.
Do you sponsor non-EEU applications?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer sponsorship for our Degree Apprenticeship programmes. If you are applying, you must be able to demonstrate your right to live and work in the UK on a full-time basis.
Can I defer my offer?
Unfortunately, we don’t allow deferred entries onto our early careers programmes. If you are successful in the recruitment process, we expect you to start your placement in the intended year.
